UNIVERSAL DECLARATION

FOR THE RECOGNITION OF THE EXISTENCE OF THE PATRIARCHAL ORDER AND ITS DEFINITIVE ABOLITION

From the Gea Association of Barcelona, we have initiated a project to require that: from the UN, the institution that we consider most inclusive internationally and the same that approved the Declaration of the Human rights in 1948, an act of Recognition of the existence of the Patriarchy, Pardon for the offences undergone by the women for all times and places until today, and their imminent Abolition is realized.

This project was presented the 16th October 2009 within the framework of the II the Congress of Women from Barcelona to the Delegate of UNIFEM (United Nations Development Fund for Woman), who attended the act (1). We have proposed her to act as a mediator and present this petition to the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The accomplishment of this act could give another dimension to the fulfilment of the Human Rights. In this way we try, beyond gender policies, to go to the root of the Patriarchy.
